Your pet has been fitted with a Freestyle Libre 3 glucose sensor to help us closely monitor blood sugar levels. This allows our medical team to safely manage insulin dosing based on real-time data.
IMPORTANT RULES
- Use ONLY one phone for the app
- DO NOT adjust insulin unless instructed by our clinic
- Log ALL insulin doses and meals
- Accept the clinic connection email
STEP 1: Download the App
Download ONLY on one device. Do not install on multiple phones.
iPhone: App Store → Search 'Freestyle Libre 3'
Android: Google Play Store → Search 'Freestyle Libre 3'
STEP 2: Account Setup & Clinic Linking
You will receive an email from Advanced Pet Care Clinic with instructions to create your account and link it to our hospital. Use the SAME email address when signing up and accept the connection request so we can monitor your pet’s glucose remotely.
STEP 3: Start the Sensor
Open the app → Start New Sensor → Hold phone near sensor. There is a 60-minute warm-up period before readings begin.
STEP 4: Monitoring
Open the app frequently. Recommended checks:
- Before insulin
- 2–4 hours after insulin
- Before meals
- If your pet seems unwell
STEP 5: Logging Insulin & Meals
Open app → Add Note → Select Insulin or Food → Enter time, dose, and type of insulin or food details.
INSULIN SAFETY
DO NOT change insulin dose or timing unless instructed by Advanced Pet Care Clinic. Even if numbers seem abnormal, call us first.
Sensor Care
- No swimming or bathing
- Avoid rubbing
- Use shirt or wrap if needed
- Call if sensor falls off
