Nutrition and Supplements
The old adage "you get what you pay for" holds true for your pet's nutrition as well as many other things. We pride ourselves in carrying several lines of pet foods to accommodate your pet. These foods have no artificial colors, preservatives, and do not contain "filler" ingredients that only serve to produce more fecal matter and provide no nutrition. Their main protein source is meat, not vegetable protein, although we do offer a vegetarian food for pets that may require it. Animals will survive and even be overweight on almost ANY pet food, the difference in the quality of the food is the difference in your pets overall health. Poorer quality foods contribute to increased fecal production, increased shedding, dry, brittle hair coat, flaky skin and most importantly, food allergies. Dogs and cats with food allergies tend to have itchy skin, especially feet and ears, and typically will get recurrent ear infections year round. High quality foods allow you to feed less and promote healthy skin and hair coat, and have less stool production.
We carry a variety of natural foods with a wide price range, all of which are gluten free.
We carry the Royal Canin Early Care feline and canine diets. These diets are not prescription diets, but rather diets designed for your pets breed and/or life stage to prevent health problems. We know certain breeds are prone to certain medical problems. By utilizing Early Care diets, we attempt to prevent these medical problems from occurring. Stop in and ask about the Early Care line and our recommendations for your pet. You can also find more information at http://www.royalcanin.us/products/default.aspx.

We understand the difficulty some owners have medicating their pets. Pill pockets are a tasty treat designed to help overcome this difficulty. They are a small, soft treat with a hole in the center for placement of medication. Once the pill is inside, squeeze the treat closed over the pill and most animals will enjoy the treat without realizing they are receiving medication. Pill Pockets are designed for both dogs and cats.
